Grandmom, son left infant in car at Wal-Mart

FOLEY, Ala. (AP) - A 36-year-old woman and her 18-year-old son were arrested and charged with child endangerment for leaving the son's 5-month-old infant in a locked car at the Foley Wal-Mart for nearly an hour.

Police said James Miley Jr. and Allison Miley, both of Fairhope, were arrested Tuesday.

Both pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge and immediately began serving 30 days in the city jail.

The little boy left in the car was turned over to his mother.

Foley police Lt. David White said a Wal-Mart security officer patrolling the parking lot about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday spotted the child inside the vehicle covered by a blanket.
