AUBURN, AL., (WSFA) -- Auburn Police Division responded to a burglary in progress call at a residence located in the 2700 block of Lee Road 12.

A witness to the crime gave responding officers a description of the suspect vehicle and direction it was travelling. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Webster Road at which time the occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers were able to apprehend two of the three suspects involved in the burglary.

Arrested were Eldrico M. Avery, age 32, of Auburn and Carlton J. Lampley, Jr., age 24, of Opelika, Alabama. Each has been charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 2nd Degree.
