Military Voting Online

Voting online for Alabama's military men and women overseas could be a reality by 2012 elections. Secretary of State Beth Chapman along with Pat Hollarn, Supervisor of Elections for Okaloosa County, Florida, met to discuss an internet voting pilot program for Alabama's National Guard and military based overseas.

Florida already has voting online for the military in that state. Chapman says she wants to make it easier for Alabama's soldiers to vote.

Chapman say she hopes to present legislation to the House and Senate for several pilot projects during the 2009 Legislative Session in February.
