A Montgomery teacher achieves the highest level of teaching excellence. Flowers Elementary teacher Angela Starks now stands with an elite groups of about 200 teachers in the state who have earned their National Board Certification.
To get certified, Starks met rigorous standards through intensive study, evaluation and peer review. "It has allowed me to grow as a teacher. I'm able to adjust my teaching practices and use them in my classroom to better my students. I'd encourage others to pursue the process."
Starks will receive $5,000 for classroom materials and an annual $5,000 salary stipend.
