Kid Rock and more added to BamaJam line-up

ENTERPRISE, AL., (WSFA) --In keeping with the Alabama State tourism slogan "Where America Finds Its Voice," the second annual BamaJam Music & Arts Festival promises to sing loud and clear from the 450-acre outdoor entertainment center in Enterprise, Alabama.

BamaJam Music & Arts Festival has introduced seven more additions to the talent line-up that boasts more than 30 acts; Kid Rock, Gary Allan, Blake Shelton, Pat Green, Luke Bryan, Aaron Tippin and John Anderson have been confirmed to perform.

Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and John Anderson will kick-off the festival on Thursday, June 4th.  Most recently named one of the "Most Beautiful People" by People magazine, Blake Shelton is a three-time, gold-certified recording artist who is best known for his No. 1 hits: "Austin," "The Baby," "Some Beach" and "Home."  Since the start of his music career in 2001, Shelton has celebrated two No. 2 albums (THE DREAMER & PURE BS) and two No. 3 albums (BLAKE SHELTON, & BLAKE SHELTON'S BARN & GRILL) on Billboard.

Newcomer Luke Bryan (Capitol Records) made his entry into the country music scene with his debut single "All My Friends Say" (No. 5 on Billboard), a cut from his first album entitled I'LL STAY ME (released in 2007) which scored with the No. 2 position on Billboard. His follow-up CD, COUNTRY MAN (released this year), charted at No. 10.

Multi-platinum selling country music recording artist, John Anderson has been belting out chart-topping singles since 1977.  His song "Swingin'" was the first platinum-charted single in country music and charted at the #30 position of all-time jukebox hits (according to the AMOA). With seven No. 1 singles and 28 Top 10 hits, Anderson is also the winner of two Country Music Association awards and the Academy of Country Music's Lifetime Achievement Award (1993).

Multi-platinum, American Music Award winner, Kid Rock, who has sold over 25 million records, will close the show on Saturday, June 6th. Kid Rock's most recent album, ROCK N ROLL JESUS, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and has been certified double platinum.  The album includes the hit single "All Summer Long" and is Kid Rock's fifth consecutive platinum-selling studio effort to date. He elevated his superstar status with his fourth full-length album, the seven-time-platinum DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE, which featured the hits "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy," "Only God Knows Why" and the 2003 smash duet with Sheryl Crow, entitled "Picture," marked his crossover into the country music scene.

Also performing on Saturday are Gary Allan, Pat Green and Aaron Tippin.

Gary Allan is a multi-talented, multi-gold and platinum songwriter and recording artist (SMOKE RINGS IN THE DARK/ALRIGHT GUY/SEE IF I CARE/TOUGH ALL OVER--MCA Nashville). To date, Allan has 21 Billboard charted singles including "Tough Little Boys," "Best I Ever Had," "Nothing On But The Radio" and "Watching Airplanes."

Pat Green has proven himself to be a fan favorite; he sold 300,000 albums before he ever signed with a major label. Four top-ten albums later, with WAVE ON WAVE certified gold, Green was voted "Best Male Artist" on About.com (2007).  A three-time Grammy nominee, he has had twelve charting singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts including "Dixie Lullaby" and "Baby Doll."

Over the past two decades, platinum recording artist Aaron Tippin has become one of the most recognizable and influential voices in country music--charting over 30 singles on Billboard Hot Country Songs including his big hits "My Blue Angel," "That's As Close As I'll Get To Loving You" and "Kiss This."   In the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Tippin wrote and released the patriotic anthem "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" which became his most successful crossover single.

Other award-winning, multi-platinum-selling, country music superstars and stars-on-the-rise confirmed to perform at the 3-day/3-night musical affair are Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift,  Charlie Daniels, 38 Special, Jason Aldean, Heidi Newfield, Jamey Johnson, LoCash Cowboys and Houston County.
