Woman arrested for theft at Alabama Public Television

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Attorney General Troy King's office has arrested a woman for theft of $7,500 from Alabama Public Television. The suspect is identified as Lagina Darice Brown Fulling.

King's office says Fulling was arrested Tuesday evening by special agents of the United States Marshal's Gulf Coast Regional Task Force and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Fulling, who was a former employee of APT, will be transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

The Attorney General's office gave evidence to a Jefferson County grand jury in her indictment in September. She was charged with one count of Deception First Degree, and one count of Theft First Degree.

The theft involved a $7,500 check from the AARP written to APT.

A conviction could mean 20 years in prison for the woman and up to $10,000 in fines.
