Residents Asked to Evacuate Coast Voluntarily

Emergency Management officials in Mobile County are urging Dauphin Island residents to voluntarily leave their homes and businesses. Storm shelters are open at certain schools as EMA officials urge residents in flood-prone areas to watch weather conditions closely.

Hurricane Lili is a dangerous category four storm -- she's expected to make landfall in Louisiana on Thursday. The National Hurricane Center says winds could be more than 140 miles an hour by the time it makes a landfall Thursday.
