Andalusia, Ala. (WSFA) -- Some good economic news for Andalusia. Sales tax collections for the month of November were up more than 5% for the city.
The city's revenues are better than reports of Alabama's sales tax collections dropping nearly 10% from the same period a year earlier.
Tax collection figures have huge consequences because they fund much of local government operations.
The county coroner's office has identified the two employees killed during the robbery of a CresCom Bank in Conway. The victims are: Donna Major, 59 years old, from Conway and Kathryn "Katie" Skeen, 36 years old, from Green Sea, according to Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.More >>
