Auburn murder suspect arrested in Texas

Auburn, Ala. (WTVM) -- The U.S. Marshal Service has arrested a suspect in connection an Auburn murder investigation.

David Pitts, 25, of Loachapoka was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Carrolton, Texas over the weekend.

Pitts, who was on the run for a week, was wanted by Auburn police in connection with a double shooting on January 3rd, which killed 22-year-old Asia Scott at the Webster Crossings mobile home park off Webster Road.

Another victim, 20-year-old Cierra Cobb was also injured in the incident.

The murder in Auburn's first of 2009.
