Covering Houston County: Drug investigation uncovers marijuana growing operation

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -- The Houston County Sheriff's Office, after concluding an on-going investigation, executed a search warrant and discovered a marijuana growing operation that yielded 32 marijuana plants in its beginning stage of growth.

The growing operation was located inside a work shop that was located directly behind the residence in full operation, also recovered during the search was $3,800 and a small amount of powder cocaine.

Jeffery Jackson James, a 50 year old male of 1845 Waddell Road in Gordon, Alabama, was charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st with a bond set at $5,000.
