Scott Simmons joins Montgomery's mayoral race

Montgomery, AL (WSFA)- Businessman Scott Simmons hopes the phrase "The third time's the charm" will ring true when it comes to his run for mayor.

Simmons formally announced his plans to run for the spot left open by now Congressman Bobby Bright. Simmons came in second place during the 2007 election, winning 33% of the popular vote. Simmons says he has even more plans this time around, on how to make Montgomery a better city.
