MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Deputy state treasurer Anthony Leigh is leaving state government to become an administrator at Huntingdon College in Montgomery.

A native of Sheffield, Leigh has been deputy treasurer since State Treasurer Kay Ivey first took office in 2003.

Before becoming deputy treasurer, Leigh worked as an assistant to U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Huntingdon President J. Cameron West said Leigh will become vice president for external affairs at Huntingdon on Feb. 2. Huntingdon is a private four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
