High praise for cental Alabama schools

At Prattville Christian Academy, Ron Mitchell always felt he ran a good school. A San Francisco, California, group apparently agreed. This week greatschools.net rated PCA as the best private school in Alabama, a proud moment for Mitchell since PCA isn't that old. It started in the late 90's and right now there are around 200 private schools in the state.

"This is a good indicator that our customers are satisfied. Our kids are our customers but our parents are part of it as well," said Mitchell.

PCA won in the 'Parental Choice' category, a school with a student population of more than 520.

The rankings found on the Business Week magazine website also listed Loveless Magnet High School in Montgomery as the number one public school in the state, number one in 'academic performance.'

Coming in at number 4 was Booker T. Washington Magnet High School in Montgomery, the 4th best in terms of 'Parental Choice.'

In the face of proration something to celebrate for BTW and Loveless. For Ron Mitchell, another sign of approval for PCA.
