Montgomery, AL (WSFA) - Mayoral assistant Michael Briddell kicked off their campaign for mayor on Monday.
Briddell made his announcement at his campaign headquarters on Catoma Street. He says he wants to improve the quality of life in the capital city, work on making our schools better, and continue economic development.
Briddell says, "We are going to do a better job of streamlining city government. We're going to do just what we did last year when we told the department heads, you guys are going to have to operate with point 5 percent less money than we gave you in the budget. We are going to have to have that discussion again real soon and tell them to tighten their belts, because right now we can not afford to as the citizens for more money in any shape or form."
