Our neighborhoods are being taken back.
A five year trend of crime reduction in major crime in Montgomery: homicides, aggravated assaults, burglaries, larceny, auto theft and felony sex cases continued last year with a dramatic drop.
There were more than two thousand less numbers of cases of crime in these categories last year from the year before and homicides were at a five year low.
Credit the leadership of Montgomery's police chief Art Baylor and the patrolmen on the streets.
Dividing the city into three precincts has worked well to connect policemen with people in the neighborhoods they patrol.
