ASF extends showing of Bear Country

It's so popular, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival is adding an additional week of performances to "Bear Country."  The new play about the legendary University of Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant has set multiple box office records.  It is the highest grossing play ever to run on ASF's Octagon Stage, and has the highest sales day on record for the Octagon stage bringing in $12,408 on the Monday following its opening day. At present, ASF has seated over 7,397 patrons and the play has reached 150% of its projected income goal.

The theatre continues to offer "Sideline Specials" which making a half price ticket available with the purchase of a full price adult ticket on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and for the final Sunday night performance at 6 PM on February 22.
