MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Auburn's Gene Chizik and Alabama's Nick Saban are hoping for good news. Both coaches are awaiting official announcements of college choices for a number of their top recruits on national signing day Wednesday.
Alabama's class is widely rated among the Top 5 nationally by recruiting services. Auburn's group is among the Top 20. The Crimson Tide is awaiting word from Gadsden cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, Florida running back Trent Richardson and Louisiana wide receiver Rueben Randle, among others.
Auburn is waiting for a decision from Oklahoma running back David Oku and others. Linebacker Tana Patrick of North Jackson High School in Stevenson was considering both Auburn and Alabama among other schools.
