Summary of action in the Alabama Legislature

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A summary of action in the Alabama Legislature on Tuesday, the first day of the regular session:

HOUSE

-Held moments of silence and passed resolutions mourning the deaths of former Gov. Guy Hunt and state Sen. Pat Lindsey.

-Passed a resolution mourning the death of former University of Alabama assistant football coach Bobby Marks.

-Invited Alabama Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb to address a joint session of the Legislature at 4 p.m. Feb. 10.

SENATE

-Held moments of silence and passed resolutions mourning the deaths of state Sen. Pat Lindsey and former Gov. Guy Hunt.

-Did not address any changes in the president pro tem's position. -Joined the House to hear the governor's State of the State address.

AGENDA

-House meets at 1:30 p.m. Thursday and Senate at 2 p.m.
