Montgomery man convicted of capital murder

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) --  A jury convicted a Montgomery man of capital murder Friday. Leon Carmichael, Jr. was on trial for the shooting death of Judge Rodrigues Jackson in May 2006.

Four eyewitnesses testified they saw Carmichael shoot and kill Jackson. At the time of the murder, Carmichael was on parole for a previous murder.

Carmichael faces the death penalty or life in prison.
