Pike County Basketball team plays without key player

MONTGOMERY, AL., -- The Pike County High School basketball team was in Troy competing in the regional tournament, but the team was playing with a heavy heart.  A teammate, Jarred "Bubba" Snell, died at his home Wednesday night.

It was an emotional day for the entire bulldog community, but when it came to the game, they knew they needed to play it. Before tip off a 31 second moment of silence was held for Snell who wore number 31 for the bulldogs. Fans and friends packed the Trojan Arena holding signs and wearing ribbons in honor of their friend. Those who knew Snell say he was an amazing person and they'll never forget him.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the casue of Snell's death.

The bulldogs lost in overtime to Central Hayneville 68-56.
