MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Police in Montgomery say a drug-fueled shooting on the city's west side left two men dead and three others wounded.
Montgomery police said Wednesday the gunman remains at large.
Major Huey Thornton, a police spokesman, said the shootings occurred at about 11:39 p.m. Tuesday on Ridgemont Ave.
Killed were 24-year-old Jauan Minor and 28-year-old Gerard Burdette, both of Montgomery.
Thornton said in a statement that three other males - two 17-year-olds and a 53-year-old - were also shot but their wounds were not considered life threatening.
He said the shootings appeared to be drug-related because officers recovered illegal narcotics at the scene.
Anyone with information on the suspect who committed these shootings is asked to contact the Montgomery Police Department at 241-2651 or Secret Witness at 262-4000.
