TUSKEGEE, AL (WSFA) - Two suspects are under arrest in connection with a homicide earlier this week in Tuskegee.

Police arrested 34-year-old Alvin Piner and 42-year-old Catherine Hernedez, both of Tuskegee late Thursday evening.

The suspects are charged with murder and were placed in the Macon County Jail under $150,000 bond.

Authorities believe Piner and Hernedez killed 39-year-old Derrick Bailey of Tuskegee. Bailey was found in a semi-conscious state Tuesday night along Highway 29. He later died.

Tuskegee Police credit the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service for helping find the suspects.
