Electronics recycling event

MONTGOMERY, AL., -- Montgomery Clean City Commission and Ecovery LLC will host a one-day recycling event for the collection of electronic equipment on Friday, March 27th in the Paterson Field parking lot at 1201 Madison Avenue. Hours for this event will be 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Ecovery will accept all office related electronics. Specifically, we will be collecting computers/laptops, copiers, printers, fax machines, scanners, stereo equipment, keyboards/mice/peripherals, VCR's/DVD's, telephone systems, cell phones, cameras, wireless devices, microwaves, smoke alarms, communication cables & cords, medical electronics, servers, typewriters, CD & tape players, electronic games, UPS's, word processors, modems, pagers & PDA's, radios, camcorders, answering machines, power supplies and routers/hubs.

Televisions will only be accepted for a $ 5 fee. 

Ecovery is committed to responsible recycling and separating all hazardous materials to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. They offer documentation that guarantees protection and eliminates liability associated with the hazards of electronics. Hard drives are completely destroyed in a hammermill and pulverized in an impact mill so that the materials they are made of can be recycled & to ensure your company's safe data destruction. All equipment is handled safely to protect their customers, employees, and the environment.
