GOP candidate adds name to 2010 Governor race

Dothan, Ala. (WSFA) -- The candidate list for the 2010 race for governor is growing. Saturday, Republican candidate Tim James announced to supporters in Dothan he's in the running for the state's top job.

Tim James is the son of two-term Governor Fob James, Jr.  You may remember James ran against Governor Bob Riley in 2002 finishing third in the Republican primary.   He says especially in these hard economic times, his business experience could help the state.

Republican State Treasurer Kay Ivey is also looking into the possibility of running.

Democratic Congressman Artur Davis made his official announcement earlier this month.
