Montgomery Chamber of Commerce Resolution on John Dilworth

RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to championing public

education and building a competitive workforce as a cornerstone of its mission to improve the

economic wellbeing and quality of life of the area; and

 

WHEREAS the Chamber has worked in partnership with the Montgomery County Board of

Education and Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent John Dilworth through the Imagine a

Greater Montgomery economic development strategy to forge a bold new direction and vision for public education in Montgomery, Alabama; and

 

WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce believes

that unprecedented momentum has been established by this partnership of the Montgomery

County Board of Education, Superintendent John Dilworth and the Chamber which can forever

change the future of public education in Montgomery; and

 

WHEREAS the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce hereby extends its grateful

appreciation to Superintendent John Dilworth and the Montgomery County Board of Education

for charting a new course for public education in Montgomery;

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the

Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce unanimously pledges its strong

support of Superintendent John Dilworth and the Montgomery County Board of

Education, and reaffirms its steadfast commitment to champion public education

and ensure that Montgomery Public Schools continue upon the journey of progress

now underway.

 

Adopted by the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce on this the

twenty-sixth day of February, two thousand and nine.
