A new urban family magazine launches this Spring in the River Region

MONTGOMERY, AL., -- Montgomery Spotlight Magazine is a free bimonthly full color family publication that strives to empower the urban community in the River Region Area. The premier publication will launch in Spring 2009, all over the River Region area.

Montgomery Spotlight Magazine will focus on enhancing the awareness of parenting, entertainment, relationships, finances, business, fashion, and religion. Montgomery Spotlight Magazine will acknowledge the urban businesses, entrepreneurs and the movers and shakers of the River Region. The magazine will acknowledge all of the issues and topics affecting the urban community such as, but not limited to; continuing education, conflict resolution, both local and national politics and more.

The first issue of the magazine, utilizing a double cover format, will spotlight LL Cool J  and Montgomery 's Greg Calhoun , one the most successful African American man in Montgomery, Alabama. "I am very excited to be a part of this great publication, I pray that this publication will go as high as Ebony or Essence" states Greg Calhoun. Calhoun's story is one that fellow Montgomerians should be aware of and proud about.

Nicole Means, publisher of the magazine, states that she wants this publication to be the, "one-stop-shop" for the urban community to be able to read the latest issues and trends as well as be aware of the latest events that attract the urban culture specifically in the River Region.

Nicole Means has worked for Gospel Today Magazine, Hope Today Magazine, Rolling Out Newspaper, Heart and Soul Magazine, and Image Magazine.
