Murder suspect in east Ala. arrested in Mobile

LANETT, Ala. (AP) - A man wanted in the murder of a Lanett woman is in custody after being arrested in Mobile.

Lanett Police Lt. Johnny Wood said the U.S. Marshals Service developed leads that ended in Tuesday's arrest of 25-year-old John Alan Lisenby.

Wood said a murder warrant was issued for Lisenby in connection with the slaying of 19-year-old Amanda Englehardt.

Police said the victim's throat was slashed early Friday. Lisenby was being held without bond in the Chambers County Jail, pending an arraignment hearing.

The homicide was the first in Lanett this year.
