Football coaches to meet with troops

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas coach Mack Brown will be one of five current and former coaches who'll visit U.S. troops in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Brown, Air Force's Troy Calhoun, UCLA's Rick Neuheisel, Mississippi's Houston Nutt and former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville will visit bases in Afghanistan, Quatar and the United Arab Emirates.

It's part of the Second Annual Coaches Tour presented by Under Armour.

Brown says he's going on the trip to thank the "so many young people fighting for our freedom."

The coaches will be on the road from May 28 to June 4.

They will visit with the troops and coach flag football teams of servicemen and women.
