Rain moving into Alabama

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Grab the cozy socks and hot tea! If you need a lazy day, Saturday’s weather is the perfect excuse to stay indoors.

Showers will be scattered in nature the first half of the day, but large mass of heavy rain will overspread the state Saturday afternoon and evening. A good 1-3″ of rain is expected.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Houston, Geneva, Coffee, Dale, Henry, Covington, and Escambia counties.

Temperatures Saturday, Saturday night and even Sunday will stubbornly stay in the 40s. With all that rain, it will make for a cold, windy and dreary weekend. Clouds and isolated showers continue Monday, but sunshine is expected to return Tuesday.
