Suspect wanted in Prattville bank robbery

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The Prattville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man they say robbed a bank on Thursday.

According to Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, police released photos of a suspect who robbed the Trustmark Bank in Prattville around 9:40 a.m.

The suspect was described as wearing a dark hat, white t-shirt, camo jacket and blue jeans. He was last seen driving a white SUV on Cobbs Ford Road heading toward Interstate 65.

CrimeStoppers says the suspect is wanted for first-degree robbery. It appears the same suspect is also wanted for a string of robberies in North Carolina and Tennessee that happened in early January, according to Prattville police.

This is one of two bank robberies in central Alabama Thursday. The other, located in Greenville, is not connected to this case.
