First Alert: Rain, snow are gone and we’re left with sunshine!

Even though we are quiet this afternoon, we’re still chilly for another day or so

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The showers are gone, and the sunshine is back!

Drier air is filtering in across Alabama, so expect it to be sunny through the rest of the afternoon; temperatures jump into the upper 30s and lower 40s before dipping down into the chilly 20s tonight. Thankfully, we should have several hours to dry the roadways before that happens, so minimal issues are expected tomorrow morning on the roads when it comes to drivers running into some icy spots.

The rest of the week is quiet and we’ll see warmer air return to the forecast soon. Tomorrow will be another cold day, but a warming trend starts building steam through the week.

Highs Wednesday are chilly in the 40s, but 50s return Thursday and we will already by close to either side of 60° by Friday!

We’ve seen some models suggesting we could be close to 70 degrees by the weekend.
