Smith says Bullock was charged after an investigation into the fatal shooting revealed that Bullock’s initial statements to officers did not match evidence found at the scene.

Bullock was taken to the Elmore County Jail and placed under a $100,000 bond.

Smith says the department is thinking about both families that were impacted by this shooting.

Smith did confirm there were children present at the home during the time of the shooting.
