MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery VA Regional Office is hosting a Veterans Experience Action Center (VEAC) to answer questions for veterans, their families and their caregivers.
The VEAC will be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex. The idea is to provide a forum for veterans, their families and caregivers to get one on one service all under one roof. During Wednesday’s event they will be able to connect with veteran service officer administrators and veteran benefits administrators.
Veterans who have a current VA claim, would like to file a new claim, have issues with VA healthcare, would like to apply for entrance into the VA healthcare system or just have questions about their benefits are encouraged to attend.
This event will also include other community, organized services and support for veterans from organizations like the Alabama Division of Veterans Affairs, American Red Cross and County Veterans Services from surrounding counties.
While this is the first event held in Alabama, veterans experience action centers have been held in many other states with very positive responses from veterans.
During Today in Alabama Wednesday, we’ll learn more about what to expect, how this idea came about and why the VA sees this as such an important event.
