DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - A south Alabama doctor’s office is being searched by agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama has confirmed.
DEA agents executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at the office of Dr. John C. Strunk, a psychiatrist with an office at the Wiregrass Wellness Center on Regency Avenue in Dothan. A sign in front of the building indicates he goes by J. Chris Strunk, MD.
Agents could be seen taking multiple boxes out of the office and putting them into a waiting truck.
There’s no word at this time if charges will be filed.
A check with the Alabama Medical Licensure Board indicates Strunk has an active medical license with no listed restrictions.
A biography posted to the Wiregrass Medical Center’s website indicates Strunk graduated from the University of Tennessee and Creighton University. He completed his psychiatry residency at Creighton University in 1999. He’s certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Alabama Psychiatric Association, and the American Psychiatric Association. He also serves as Medical Director for Wiregrass Medical Center’s Senior Care Unit.
