NASHVILLE, TN (WSFA) - Former Carver-Montgomery product Mack Wilson is headed to the National Football League. Wilson was taken in the 5th round with the 155th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

The freakishly athletic linebacker totaled 119 tackles in three years at Alabama, recording a career-high 71 last season. Wilson had a nose for the football, which led him to six career interceptions at the linebacker position.

He was a member of the 2017 National Championship team at Alabama that completed the comeback against Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

Wilson is the second former Wolverine to be taken in the NFL draft in as many years. Last year, Shaun Dion Hamilton was taken in the 6th round by the Washington Redskins.
