MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The summer-like pattern continues!
An isolated shower or two is possible through the rest of our overnight hours while lows settle in the mid 60s.
Our extended period of warm weather will continue for the next day or so as a ridge of high pressure sits off the east coast. Highs will be in the upper 80s/ pushing 90° each day. Not only are temperatures rising, but dew points are increasing, too- that means it will start to feel a bit muggy as the week progresses thanks to a southerly breeze.
With a bit more moisture in our atmosphere and daytime heating providing instability, pop-up showers and storms are possible each afternoon. Coverage and intensity won’t be widespread, so not everyone will get wet; if we do see rain, it will be more isolated to scattered in nature. If you’re lucky enough to receive rain, your temps will likely drop a bit (A.K.A. that’ll be your only opportunity to get some relief from the heat!).
By Saturday, a lingering frontal boundary will help provide moisture and instability to our area, increasing our chance for rain that day. It won’t be a washout; about half of you will still stay dry.
