LAKE MARTIN, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continues investigating a fatal boat crash that happened on Lake Martin Friday night.
ALEA Capt. Gary Buchanan says it is believed that alcohol was a factor in the the multi-boat crash that led to the death of 56-year-old David George Goodling of Auburn, and injured 62-year-old Norman Ray Harris of Leeds.
Friday night around 9:30 p.m. received a report of a two-vessel boat crash on Lake Martin. Senior Trooper said authorities arrived at the scene near The Ridge Marina and found a third vessel had been involved as well.
Buchanan confirmed Harris was transported to a hospital for treatment. Cartwright confirmed one boat had four passengers on it, but none were injured. The senior Trooper also confirmed Goodling and Harris were in two separate boats.
