MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - It was an afternoon and evening soaked by storms, some of them strong. Don’t store your umbrella away yet, however; rain chances stay elevated through the weekend.
We’ll be mostly dry Friday morning, but more hit-or-miss showers and storms are possible Friday afternoon and evening. Keep an umbrella and your First Alert Weather App nearby!
More off-and-on rain is possible Saturday and Sunday. It won’t rain all day, but rounds of downpours appear likely. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, there’s no need to cancel them, but it would be wise to have your raincoat and a backup indoor plan in place in case the timing of those storms doesn’t work out in your favor.
A few stronger storms will be possible Sunday with gusty winds and frequent lightning. We’ll keep a close eye on it as Mother’s Day approaches.
