MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Keep your umbrella nearby! A wet weekend is ahead.
A stalled frontal boundary really ramps up our shower and storm chances this weekend; waves of energy will help kick off rounds of rain and rumbles.
Storms will be widespread both Saturday and Sunday. Locally heavy pockets of rain are possible at times. We’ll have to watch these waves as that heavy rain could lead to some minor flooding in a few spots.
There’s a chance a few of these weekend storms could be on the stronger side, too. Damaging wind gusts are our main threat, but Sunday we’re not ruling out the possibility of hail or a brief tornado either. We’ll keep you updated.
Rain clears the area after the weekend and we’re back to sunshine Monday and cooler temperatures Monday.
