MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Fast food restaurant Bojangles’ has returned to Montgomery.
The location at 9066 Eastchase Parkway off Chantilly Parkway reopened Monday.
Early last year, four central Alabama Bojangles’ locations - three in the Capital City and one in Selma - closed suddenly. A company spokesperson said at the time that the franchise owner had “economic challenges.”
The new franchisee, Aki Henderson, said they don’t plan to stop at one location. Henderson said she hopes to have four Bojangles’ restaurants open in the area by 2022.
She added that she isn’t sure if they will reopen in the same locations as the other restaurants that closed, including on Ann Street and East South Boulevard. They will take it store by store, she said.
