MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Investigators are trying to find out what caused an overnight fire that left a Montgomery home damaged.
A WSFA 12 News photographer found the scene at a home in the 2600 block of Drake Street, which is located just off Mobile Highway.
According to Capt. Jason Cupps, when firefighters arrived at the home it was fully involved, and the fire had burned through the roof.
The home appears to have sustained major fire and smoke damage.
Cupps said all of the people in the home were able to make it out safely but two small dogs have been reported unaccounted for.
