Police: Gun pointed out window during morning traffic situation

AUBURN, Ala. (WSFA) - Investigators in Auburn are searching for a suspect who allegedly pointed a firearm out a window during a traffic incident Tuesday morning.

Auburn police said the incident happened around 8:45 a.m. at the edge of Auburn University’s campus on South College Street near Samford Avenue.

The victim told police that a gray Chevy Impala cut him off in traffic while a passenger inside the car “held a pistol straight up out the window in a confrontational manner.”

There were no injuries as a result of the situation, and the vehicle drove off north on South College.

No description of the suspect was available.

Police urge commuters to avoid conflict with other drivers at all cost and to call 911 if you experience any similar situations on the road.
