MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Well, we hope you took our advice and enjoyed the past few days of low humidity, cool mornings and comfortable afternoons. Heat and humidity are about to make a comeback.
After a comfortably warm day, temperatures will cool into the lower 60s tonight. An isolated shower or two could pop-up overnight in our northern counties.
A weak boundary will help ignite a few showers and storms tomorrow afternoon. Those who do have a storm pass overhead will enjoy a brief cool down. The majority of you will stay dry, and therefore feel warm, as highs return to the mid 80s tomorrow.
Warmth will continue to build in the coming days, resulting in highs climbing to near 90 in time for the weekend. While there could be a passing shower or storm, those odds are no better than 20% and many areas will remain mostly sunny, dry and warm.
Next week looks even hotter; raw model guidance suggests we could nudge up into the 95° neighborhood by the second half of next week. Get ready - as Clint Black once sang - Summer’s coming!
