MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A woman has been charged after Montgomery police say she stabbed another woman, injuring her.
Chauntai Williams, 28, is charged with assault second degree.
Capt. Regina Duckett says officers were called to the 2600 block of Lark Drive around 10 p.m. on May 4 after a woman reported she had been stabbed. When they arrived on scene, the victim said she had been in an altercation with someone she knew, and the suspect stabbed her.
Court documents indicate the victim was stabbed eight times in her arms with a sharp object. The stabbing left serious injuries including multiple lacerations and wounds.
An investigation identified Williams as the suspect. Further investigation found the stabbing happened after the victim asked Williams to leave her residence.
Williams was taken into custody Monday and later transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
