TROY, Ala. (WSFA) - A Troy crash on U.S. Highway 231 resulted in multiple injuries Thursday afternoon.
Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said the crash was between two vehicles and involved five people. One car had two people, while another had three.
The chief said one vehicle was southbound while the other was northbound. The northbound vehicle made a left turn across the southbound lanes when the crash happened.
Some suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to three different hospitals. Barr said at least one person was transported by air to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan. Two were transported to Montgomery and one to Troy. He said he is unsure about injuries to the other.
Lanes were closed for a short time.
