ALEA kicks off state Special Olympics with torch run

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Dozens of officials in Montgomery took part in the Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Speical Olympics Summer Games Friday.

After getting the torch from Wetumpka, the torch was taken to the Montgomery Multiplex where the group ran it to the Capitol.

Opening ceremonies for the state Special Olympics kicked off Friday evening at Troy University.
