Suspects wanted after $40K worth of fiber optic cable stolen

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Several people were involved in the recent theft of nearly $40,000 worth of fiber optic cable in Lee County. They may not have been aware that, even though it was dark, they were captured on camera.

Now, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public if it can identify any of the cable capers.

The theft happened in the 2600 block of Lee Road 318 in Smiths back on June 24. At least three people were captured in pictures.
