Investigation opened after fatal shooting near Madison Avenue McDonald’s

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police are investigating a fatal shooting in the area of the McDonald’s on Madison Avenue.
According to Sgt. David Hicks, police and medics responded a call of a subject shot in the 2200 block of Madison Avenue.
At the scene, police found a man who’d sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Hicks says the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Montgomery Police Department has a policy to not release the names of businesses where crimes happen. However, there was a heavy police presence at the McDonald’s on Madison Avenue after the shooting.
