SLOCOMB, Ala. (WSFA) - The victim killed in a weekend fire at a south Alabama home has been identified as an 18-year-old Dothan man.

John Brady Wallace was killed when a blaze broke out at a residence on North Morris Street in Slocomb Sunday morning.

WTVY reports Slocomb, Wickburg, Malvern and Fadette fire departments responded to the scene and brought the fire under control. First responders found Wallace’s body after the fire was put out.

The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Slocomb Police Department, Geneva County Sheriff’s Office, and Geneva County Coroner’s Office are assisting.
