SHORTER, Ala. (WSFA) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is trying to figure out why an 82-year-old Greenville man was walking on the interstate early Wednesday morning.
They also want to know who struck him with their vehicle and why they never stopped.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the victim, Calvin Daniel Eddins, was hit by a vehicle while walking along Interstate 85 around 2:45 a.m.
Eddins was about a mile south of Macon County’s Shorter exit (mile marker 21) when he was hit. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The vehicle that hit and killed Eddins did not stop, Alabama State Troopers said.
No other details were immediately clear.
